Updates

To date we have launched discussions with HSI, Coillte, Waterways Ireland and Bord na Mona on a National level, and discussions with TDs, Councillors and local amenity groups on a local level, to raise awareness of the access crisis currently facing Irish equestrians and to campaign for safe hacking routes nationwide. 

We are meeting with various affiliate groups in order to unite our voices on this issue and are working on developing a close working relationship with TREK Ireland. 

Coilte and HSI are meeing in March to further discuss this topic and an update will follow in due course. 

HSI have engaged a working group to investigate the insurance issue and make recommendations. 

LEAI are gathering an extensive list of all the hacking routes which have been closed off in recent times to equine access; this list can be accessed here
